Preliminary screening will be made on the basis of completed application packet submitted by candidate. Completed application packet includes: a letter of interest of no more than five pages, addressing in general the items under "Primary Duties" and specifically each item under “Minimum Qualifications”; an online application; resume; and transcripts. The Office of Registration & Records helps students enroll in CCD, register for classes, and provides the necessary resources to maintain academic progress, degree evaluation and certification, and provides information regarding academic policy and state/federal regulations. ORR also maintains and releases educational records for job applications or transfer to other institutions.
The International Student Coordinator reports to the Assistant Registrar, and is responsible for providing assistance and support to international students applying for F-1 visas to study at CCD, including new, transfer, and active students. This position adheres to all necessary state and federal policies and procedures to ensure CCD maintains eligibility to provide educational services to international students. This position serves as a Designated School Official (DSO) for the college, and will work with the Assistant Registrar to create and update international compliance processes, audit registration, monitor academic progress, and report student information in the Student Exchange and Visitors Information System (SEVIS). The International Student Coordinator helps disseminate materials to foreign students and facilitates cultural adjustment and adaptation to life at CCD, and assists with responsibilities as they relate to students, faculty & staff.
The International Student Coordinator will serve as a Designated School Official* (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO), and will assist with the enrollment, registration, and orientation of international students, maintain SEVIS and Banner records, respond to and resolve application and enrollment inquiries, explain and troubleshoot complex immigration circumstances related to enrollment while adhering to the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), monitor academic progress and enrollment status to ensure compliance with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) regulations, liaise with US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and US officials, and report appropriate data to DHS/USCIS.
The International Student Coordinator will also meet with and advise students on policies and procedures related to Admissions and Registration & Records, financial statements, test scores, immigration status, academic standing, cultural adjustments, reduced course load, employment, Social Security, and identification/driver’s license. This position will collaborate with Academic Centers, Program Advisors, and other college partners on the Auraria Campus to ensure student success and foster communication with international students.
The International Student Coordinator will develop and update website content for international students, develop and implement marketing materials for international admissions, and perform other duties as assigned.
Two (2) years of admissions experience OR three (3) years of record keeping and database management experience, in higher education.
Experience working with diverse or at-risk populations.
Experience managing databases, spreadsheets, or records.
Experience working in a multicultural setting.
Demonstrated sensitivity to diverse populations.
One (1) year of experience in international admissions in higher education.
One (1) year of experience recruiting international students.
Experience maintaining records in SEVIS.
Knowledge of USCIS/Federal regulations related to international students eligibility.

Part-time experience is ½ the equivalent of full-time experience. Example: Four (4) years applicable part-time experience equals 2 years full-time equivalency.
