Job Title: Customer Quality Assurance Specialist
Reports To: Technical Support Manager
Department: QA
Location: Huntersville, NC

Summary: Plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties with a focus on Customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Address and resolve quality issues throughout all manufacturing areas with a particular focus on any and all quality issues related to customers.
Function as the “eyes” of the customer addressing all quality related issues and concerns.
Work with all customers to strengthen ties and develop stronger relationships leading to better communication and quality products.
As necessary, recommend new input products and/or changes to processes based on customer discussions within the confines of product specifications.
Understand and define overall quality requirements wherever possible.
Manage customer specific PPAP’s, CoC’s, datasheets, etc. for all current/new materials.
Primary person responsible for any customer audits and resulting improvement plans.

Establish and maintain up to date files on all customer specific technical specifications and datasheets.
Request updates to all related documentations from customers as necessary.

Be the focal point and primary contact for all customer complaints.
Acknowledge, address and manage all customer complaints and responses in a timely manner.
Follow each complaint to a resolution, satisfactory to both the customer and SAERTEX USA.
Goal is a satisfactory resolution for each complaint within two weeks of formal receipt.
Maintain proper files on each complaint and resolution.

Support the Quality Training Program initiative, administered by the Quality Department, emphasizing the importance and value of quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Provide technical assistance and support to the Technical Support Center.

Work more closely together with operations to enhance the production of quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Perform QA Tours and machine checks when / as necessary to ensure quality standards are being met and maintained.

Provide engineering support on assorted projects as appropriate.

Champion “Street Smart Manufacturing” throughout the manufacturing areas.

Other duties may be assigned as necessary based on continuing evolution of the Quality and Engineering Departments.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Warp Knitting Experience would be of benefit

Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Inventory software and Project Management software.
