The Opportunity
Vermilion Energy has an exciting opportunity within the US Business Unit, seeking a Division Order Analyst. Based in Denver, Colorado, this role will report directly to the Team Lead of Land and be an integral part of the US Business Unit Land Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Land Team for an active exploration and production company in the Powder River Basin. The successful candidate will join a team that values its people and provides work with purpose.
What you will do
Analyze and document deeds, leases, wills, probates, assignments, etc.
Create and maintain divisions of interest.
Complete thorough review of drilling and division order title opinions, including but not limited to liens, taxes, mineral ownership, leases, and curative.
Timely and accurately prepare and send Division Orders.
In a timely and professional manner, frequently communicate with royalty owners on a daily basis.
Concisely communicate with title attorneys, broker team, interest owners, and others in various departments to resolve title opinion requirements and title disputes.
Review and analyze prior period adjustments and conduct research to resolve any revenue discrepancies.
Provide good customer service with professionalism and integrity by responding to irregular or complex inquiries from interest owners and help resolve ownership issues.
Responsible for knowing the proper handling of data in the division of interest software. Efficiently place and manage well documented files for others on the team to reference.
Apply good analytical skills to interpret chain of title and calculations of royalties overriding royalties and working interests.
Proactively work to minimize the balance of suspended revenues through address search or curative efforts as needed.
Lead curative calls and communicate with the curative team on outstanding title issues. Delegate curative responsibilities to the appropriate party.
Work closely with various accounting group employees on monthly revenue and JIB processes.
What you will bring
3-5 years industry experience within the US and specifically the Rocky Mountain Region
Strong working knowledge of the BLM, WOGCC and WOSL&I regulations.
Proficient computer skills and thorough knowledge of BOLO, Word and Excel.
Results oriented individual with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
Bachelors of Science in a related field

Competitive base salary and bonus
For this Colorado based role, the anticipated range for this opportunity is $70,000 - $100,000. Compensation will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge and abilities of the applicant
