You will work cross-functionally to define a unified digital content strategy by organizing information, developing and testing website architectures, and establishing labeling systems that will be used across multiple web properties. You will be responsible for concepting, defining, and optimizing the information architecture for the mcafee.com B2B website, and working with development and production teams in web marketing, customer support, engineering, and other digital content stakeholders across the company.
Lead information architecture for the mcafee.com B2B website.
Evaluate existing website properties and content for usefulness, relevancy, usability, visual design, and branding.
Work closely with relevant stakeholders, such as technical publications managers, product owners, content writers, and domain experts to ensure that our content assets are best in class.
Work with third parties to conduct usability studies that provide feedback on user experience. This includes gathering requirements from internal teams, performing content analysis, and present your findings and results to internal stakeholders.
Analyze website usage data to gain a deeper understanding of UX and KPIs, and craft recommendations to improve the IA on the site.
Develop audience analyses, personas, and user journey mappings.
Drive the development of frameworks that describe key aspects of a proposed experience, and how it reconciles to business and user needs.
Create wireframes and prototypes of high-level website interaction, navigation, and organization design.
Create comprehensive sitemaps, process flows, and screen flows for larger-scale projects.
Document and communicate decision-making process for UX recommendations and review those proposals with digital leadership.
Collaborate and work closely with content and design teams.
Collaborate on the development of labeling and search systems.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, with multidisciplinary backgrounds such as psychology, computer science, information sciences, human/computer interface design, or commerce/business
At least two years of related industry experience in new media, information technology, communications, or library/information science
At least three years in the role of experience architect, user experience lead, information architect, or information design lead.
Highly proficient in the use of MS Office, Visio, Photoshop, and InDesign. You should be proficient in responsive design best practices to create optimal digital experiences for mobile users.
Proven understanding of and experience with user-centered design techniques; development of organizational/structural concepts for websites; project processes for the development of large-scale website projects; documentation requirements for web development teams; application of content management, personalization, targeting, and searching systems.
Experience applying research and analysis to site development
Excellent communication skills, both orally and in a variety of written and diagrammatic forms
Proven interpersonal skills, client relation skills, and ability to work in a team environment
Proven creative thinking and problem-solving skills
Thorough, detail-oriented, and highly organized, plus an ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
Preferably, experience with software development process/business analysis, user research, usability practices, and testing
