Account Executive, Group Sales

The Dallas Mavericks are seeking driven and positive individuals who are committed to becoming sports and entertainment sales leaders with previous group sales experience.

While the primary focus of this position is selling Dallas Mavericks group tickets and fan experiences, we are a full menu sales department and you will be responsible for selling season tickets, partial season ticket plans, suites and other ticket products. Group Sales Account Executives will plan and coordinate large group events and group specific theme nights, directed at generating ticket sales. All relationships will be derived from making outbound calls and some inbound calls. This individual must have a passion for sales and bring a positive and enthusiastic attitude and an educated interest in sports and entertainment.

This is a full-time position that is salaried plus commission and we offer an outstanding benefit program.

Reports to: Group Sales Manager

Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for making sales calls, prospect, and qualify all potential sales opportunities in addition to leads provided.
Proactively create opportunities for new business with existing customers and build relationships to provide repeat business.
Provide superior and professional customer service to clients.
Perform game day responsibilities, including entertaining clients and fulfilling large group events.
Occasionally, represent the organization at off-site Dallas Mavericks events promoting ticket sales.
Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals.
Maintain computerized records of all touchpoints with clients and prospects with our CRM system. Proficiency in basic computer software programs, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Sports Management, Business, Marketing or related field.
2+ years of outstanding performance in a commission-based sales position, with at least 1 year of group ticket sales experience. Professional or collegiate sports team experience preferred.
The ability to work all home games and extended hours as assigned including evenings, weekends and holidays.
