What you’ll be doing...

This position will assist in developing and implementing tools to streamline and enhance the processes by which Verizon contracts with and manages its relationships with its business and public sector customers. The position will use the Seal tool and analytics tools provide critical contract data collection, analysis and reporting for the Legal teams supporting Verizon contracting with commercial, government and other customers. This information will enable Verizon to negotiate contracts, manage risk, improve compliance, enhance standard contract language, expand automated transactions, and improve customers’ experience.

The successful candidate will:
Use the Seal platform and other techniques to extract key contract data.
Implement Seal’s Analyze this Now capability to provide real-time negotiation guidance.
Develop processes/tools to track contracting performance indicators (e.g., cycle time).
Document key processes, results, and best practices.
Communicate results through regular reporting and data sharing.
Support Legal and other end users in their use of contracting data tools and output.
Maximize the use of contract-data intelligence with customers, templates & compliance.
Enhance other contracting processes, tools, content, and metrics as needed.

Key Skills:
Focus on the business significance of each item of contract data.
Probing analysis of relevant contract language to find actionable data.
Persistence in refining results for completeness and accuracy.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:
A degree.
Managed and supported contracting processes for complex technical or service deliverables.
Experience in sales, finance, legal, and/or contract negotiations.
Juggled multiple projects under tight guidelines.
Demonstrated influence and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
