Rooted in a deep commitment to supporting families and communities, the Masonic Center for Youth and Families (MCYAF) offers therapeutic services for children, adolescents, young adults (ages 4 to 24), and their families. Many of our referrals come from local schools, other community mental health centers, and private practices. At MCYAF, our therapists reflect the diversity of the communities in which we practice. Our dedicated team provides individual, family, and group therapies, psychological assessments, and educational therapy services. JOB SUMMARY
The Therapist position brings a deep understanding of systems theory to bear on clinical work, providing direct clinical services to families seeking help with a range of complex problems. The therapist will work in collaboration with a team with client and families of diverse backgrounds and presenting issues. The therapist provides individual, family, couples, and group therapy grounded in systems and relational theory. The therapist facilitates parent coaching and provides case management as needed. The position works within a multidisciplinary clinical care team model and participates in meetings and case conferences.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The position is responsible for:
➢ Providing individual, family, couple, and group therapy
➢ Conducting clinical intakes and assessments
➢ Assessing and treatment planning for active caseload
➢ Referring to other modalities within the clinic as needed
➢ Documenting all client care in our EMR system
➢ Providing clinical care that complies with all the legal and ethical standards set by the field and the state of California
➢ Leading Workshops and Training as appropriate
In collaboration with:
➢ The clinical team provides clinical consultation to colleagues to contribute to the quality of care provided by the center.
➢ The leadership team contributes to the creation of the workshop curriculum.
➢ The leadership team contributes to the Continuing Education program
➢ Other duties are necessary to ensure customer satisfaction, clinical excellence, continuity of care, and the success of MCYAF.
Requirements
➢ Must possess a License in Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Social Work, or Psychology.
➢ Must have five or more years of experience working with children, youth and their families Must have experience working with large family systems and subsystems
➢ Interest in mentorship of early career clinicians
➢ Commitment to community mental health service
➢ Experience as a supervisor or other organizational leadership position is preferred
➢ A strong appreciation for a collaborative and integrated approach to care
➢ A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in both clinical care and collaboration with colleagues

➢ Experience working in a clinic setting, community mental health setting, or within multidisciplinary teams
➢ Available to work after school hours, such as afternoons, evenings and Saturdays
