The Desert Research Institute (DRI), Patrick Squires Research Library, 2215 Raggio Parkway, Reno, is looking for a Library Assistant to perform a variety of tasks to include: copying/scanning, shelving, retrieval of materials from the DRI and UNR Libraries, and other special projects as assigned. The successful candidate must have his/her own transportation available and be willing to travel to DRI and other locations as needed (mileage is reimbursed).
Must be a student enrolled at UNR in at least 6 credits
Basic computer experience with Word, Excel, Internet searches, and ability to use a scanner/copier
A valid Nevada driver’s license (and good driving record)
Previous library experience
$10 per hour with no benefits.
Work schedule is approximately 10-20 hours per week. M-F 8-5 pm
Requires physical ability to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, stand, or sit for prolonged periods of time; requires ability to lift and carry approximately 30 lbs.; travel to different site and locations
