The DHS OneNet Program enables information sharing, to include shared internet, intranet, and extranet services, among DHS Components, trade partners, and Other Government Agencies (OGAs). The Program and Project Management functional area is responsible for the performance of program and project management support, program and project reporting activities, project artifact development, artifact organization, and configuration management.
Technical Program Manager will be responsible for managing the entire Engineering Operations Tier II-III Support Services and Tier II Shift Leads.
Monitor and improve the quality of service support, incident handling and related communications to ensure ValidaTek remains compliant with contractual requirements, legal obligations and organizational policies and procedures.
Serve as the ValidaTek Support Management point of contact for critical communications and support escalations, reconcile issues and implement improvements in existing process and procedures where necessary.
Together with your team, manage delivery of services to ensure engagements are completed on-time and within scope/budget.
Coordinate and participate in monitoring, review and auditing processes related to service delivery to ensure company-established metrics are achieved.
Implement and maintain performance metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs and training reports for customer and key stakeholders in accordance with Service Level Agreements.
Maintain awareness for yourself and your team of all relevant product developments and releases and ensure the transfer of useful knowledge within Operations to ensure effective information sharing and advice to customers and partners. Perform onsite and remote personnel management duties in a complex environment.
Provide assistance to inquiries on the features, functions, and usage of area-specific services and systems
Provide Knowledge Base updates and create SOPs and other technical documentation
Identify and implement improvements to operational capabilities
Provide client-facing support/representation/escalation
Education and Certifications
Required - PMP Certification
Required – Cisco Network Associate certification
Strongly Preferred: ITILv3 Foundation Certification
Preferred Bachelor's Degree from 4-year college or university. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for meeting the minimum requirements.
Knowledge and Experience
5+ years WAN project/program management experience required, in WAN networks with more than 1,000 sites, domestic and international transporting voice, data and video.
Experience managing Wide Area Networks with planned transitions to newer architectures including use of software-defined networks, cloud services, advanced monitoring, etc.
Managed several web-based applications, used by at least 50K customers
Managed more than 5 enterprise-wide services being transported by the WAN, (which are being operated by other vendors and service providers)
Facilitated extranet connections to other entities (such as federal, state, local and tribal agencies, as well as non-governmental organizations and private industry).
3+ years of experience managing and leading technical teams
Required – Experience utilizing ITIL product and services lifecycle management best practices
Required – Experience using CMMI Processes to improve service delivery.
Ability to perform under stressful situations.
Very strong verbal and written communications skills
Excellent logical system troubleshooting and issue resolution
