Automotive Service Writer / Advisor Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Automotive Dealership Service Writer / Advisor is REQUIRED
- Prior experience in an automotive office environment preferred
- Must be available to work Saturdays
- Experience with automotive service software is a huge plus!
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation and work attendance
Automotive Service Writer / Advisor Job Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers both in person and over the phone to determine their service needs and provide recommendations for services
- Document customer requests or needs based on details provided
- Schedule appointments with customers based on availability of service staff
- Assist customers with planning around maintenance required for their vehicle as needed
- Provide follow-ups to customers to provide status updates on their vehicle’s service
- Enter customer data into software to create client profiles
- Order and intake parts based on service department needs
- Occasionally pick up customer vehicles and assist in dropping customers off
- Accept payments from customers and process / document receipt
- Provide an exceptional start-to-finish customer service experience
- Stay up-to-date on products and services, including warranty information
