Successful track record selling commercial integrated controls/technology solutions in the higher education market and/or state and local government markets required. Experience with state and local cooperative purchasing agreements strongly desired. The person in this position will be a SLED vertical market specialist (subject matter expert) and be responsible for the business development and performance of all sales activities in the SLED space.
Compensation commensurate with experience, starting in the $90,000 base range, plus performance based, uncapped commissions.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Build a sales pipeline and generate new revenue by identifying, qualifying, and capturing new awards in the state, local or higher education markets.
Dedicated government business development with assigned regional booking goal.
Focus on creating opportunities through partners and develop and or/maintain trusted relationships with industry counterparts..
Work with Government Services Team and other Regional BDM s to leverage programs and relationships in the state of MA.
Participate/lead strategic planning including company s positioning in cooperative purchasing competitive analysis, target customer selection and qualification, and penetration plans.
Meet and/or exceed established metrics (pipeline growth, close ratio, forecast accuracy, revenue production, client interaction).
Identify and obtain client-specific contract vehicles.
Travel as needed throughout state.
