Tax Credit Leasing Agent / HUD Occupancy Specialist

We are seeking an experienced HUD Occupancy Specialist for an apartment community in the Redwood City area, serving low-income elderly residents. We are also considering applicants with tax credit in their background. This position provides an incredible opportunity to join a dynamic and dedicated staff serving wonderful and deserving seniors who live on their own. The person who takes this position needs to be detail oriented and have a capacity to respond well to deadlines and timelines.

This is a full-time position from 8 am -- 5 pm, Monday – Friday, and we offer excellent benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, access to a 401(k) program, paid sick time, vacation, and 10 paid holidays. Essential Functions & DUTIES

  • Serves as initial and primary staff for resident admission, certification and recertification, and miscellaneous occupancy functions, including, but not limited to interviewing prospective residents and verifying their eligibility. This staff member prepares documentation for regulatory management and occupancy reviews, as well as preparing monthly HUD and Corporate occupancy reports.
  • Familiarity with HUD occupancy policies and procedures.
  • Fills in for receptionist and the duties of that position, on occasion.
  • Communicates and interacts with residents, families, management, contractors, and vendors.
  • Experience in HUD and/or Tax Credit housing is preferred.
  • Must possess the ability to work in Microsoft Windows environment, including Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, etc. The ability to operate RealPage/OneSite is a plus!
