The Web Systems Engineer III possesses a broad understanding of web services, web sites, and web applications in a business environment. The Web Systems Engineer III is responsible for supporting web servers, from design through implementation; provides a wide variety of installation, configuration and upgrading of workstations, servers and related hardware and software in a LAN, WAN and stand-alone environment. The Web Systems Engineer III also performs investigation, diagnostic testing and repair/ resolution of system, hardware, software and infrastructure.
What you’ll do here:
Plan, design, implement, and maintain complex and high performing virtualized computing environments and load balanced web servers.
Secure web server environments using SSL Certificates.
Load Balancing Configuration and Maintenance.
Advanced design and troubleshooting of a large micro-services web environment.
Develop system documentation containing key web service components and network flows.
Respond to inquiries from staff and outside vendors to provide technical assistance, support, and system issues and assist in outage remediation efforts.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
What you’ll need:
High School Diploma or GED.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or other related degree preferred.
5+ years related experience required.
Systems Engineering, Systems Administrator, Windows Engineer, and/or Production Support Engineer experience required.
Enterprise Data Center experience required.
Programming and scripting experience (C#, PowerShell, VBScript, Perl, etc.) required.
Experience loading balanced IIS Web Servers.
Experience supporting complex web service architectures over multiple DMZs.
Proven experience maintaining SSL certificates for both public and private infrastructures.
Experience supporting WebServices using XML, JSON, SOAP technologies.
Knowledge of Windows Server Administration required.
Knowledge of Advanced IIS Configuration and Administration required.
Understanding and troubleshooting HTTP requests (GET, POST, HEAD).
Understanding and troubleshooting IIS Error messages (404, 401, 402, 502, etc.).
Understanding and troubleshooting SSL Certificate negotiation/handshake processes.
Understanding and troubleshooting network packet captures.
Load Balancing Technologies : Netscaler, DNS Round Robin, BigIP, or HAProxy.
HTTPS/SSL Management – Certificate installation, renewal, revocation.
Supporting WebServices using XML, JSON, SOAP.
Scripting and programming languages including PowerShell, C#, VBScript, etc.
WebServices, websites, and other web related technologies.
Experience supporting fault-tolerant, highly available, clustered solutions.
Excellent communication skills.

Excellent time management skills with the ability to work on multiple active projects.
Network Engineer, Network Administrator, Infrastructure Engineer, Infrastructure Administrator experience preferred.
Backup administration including scheduling and troubleshooting issues preferred.
Preferred certification/license: Microsoft MCSE, MCTS, MCSA; Cisco CCNA; and VMWare VCP.
