- 1.0 FTE is Full-Time, any position less than 1.0 FTE is Part-Time, and .001 FTE is Optional Part-Time*
- Positions with an "FTE" (full time equivalency) of .875 - 1.0 are eligible for full-time medical, dental and vision benefits. Positions with an "FTE" of .5 - .874 are eligible for part-time pro-rated medical, dental and vision benefits*
Following established policies and procedures, Pharmacy Intern 1 performs technical, distributive, and administrative duties. This individual receives, sorts, compounds, processes and prepares medication orders under the supervision of a pharmacist. Supports pharmacist efforts in clinical support and distribution services in coordination with physician and nursing services in delivering quality and cost-effective drug therapy to patients. Other duties as assigned.
Accepted to an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy program or enrolled in their first year of a doctor of pharmacy program at an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy. Certification through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) or National Healthcare Association (ExCPT) is required within 6 months of hire.
Must complete a competency checklist within three months of completing orientation and training sessions. Ability to communicate effectively with other health care professionals and patients. Ability to prioritize responsibilities in order to optimize patient care and minimize adverse outcomes.
