In this position you will:
Supervise Lottery Quality Assurance personnel to ensure that the vendor and Lottery staff tests new and modified software. This includes planning, directing, and scheduling of project task; communication, assistance and training of personnel.
Gather and coordinate business requirements defining/presenting best practice recommendations for software solutions.
Provide consultation and advice to Lottery management and staff to support mission critical business decisions.
We are looking for someone who has:
A Bachelor's degree with a major study in computer science or related field and four years of education or experience in the following:
Developing reports used to brief non-technical personnel
Conducting research and data analysis for the purpose of software delivery improvements and increased efficiencies
Equivalent information technology experience such as consulting, analyzing, directing projects, identifying system software requirements and system development may substitute education on a year-for-year basis.
Expert-level understanding of lottery business rules, gaming system capabilities and functionality, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with business partners over whom the employee has no direct authority.
Experience in customer service such as sales and marketing is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
This position requires a specialist who has knowledge of the lottery's mission, retailer and Lottery business function, and computer system development.
Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts across all disciplines to develop and design best results.
Communication – The ability to translate technical requirements into understandable terminology.
Outstanding listening – ability to listen to competing arguments, find common ground and align for the best solution.
Strong problem solving – The ability to evaluate and solve complex problems in conventional and non-conventional ways.
Experiences in or knowledge of strategic planning gap analysis and roadmap development.
