SAIC is seeking an Air Traffic Controller (ATC) to support the FAA's Advanced Technologies & Oceanic Procedures (ATOP) system. ATOP replaces the current oceanic air traffic control systems and procedures by:

Fully integrating flight and radar data processing

Detecting conflicts between aircraft

Providing satellite data link communication and surveillance capabilities

Removing the need for paper flight strips

Automating the manual processes used today

Position responsibilities include:
Developing new AT concepts for the ATOP system

Developing/reviewing requirements for the ATOP system

Testing/assessing new ATOP functionality

Qualifications

At least ten (10) years of operational ATC experience on the ATOP system
No college degree is required
Ability and willingness to travel. Travel requirement is approximately 10 percent
Ability to satisfy FAA resume and security approval processes
