B&A is currently seeking an Integrated Master Scheduler to join our team at our Headquarters in McLean, VA!
The duration of this role will be for ~6 months.
We are seeking an Integrated Master Scheduler who will build, design, develop, and maintain Integrated a Master Schedule to meet client requirements in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will perform program schedule analysis to include: Critical Path, Float, Resource Management, Dependencies and Schedule Variances. S/he will build and maintain a program level IMS which includes major milestones and deliverables, monitor vendor/subk schedule performance to include weekly and monthly variances. S/he will utilize, Gantt, Pert, Milestone Chars and earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variance and schedule risk. S/he will mentor the program staff with regard to schedule and propose processes that will aid integrated scheduling. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills and a passion for learning, helping others, sharing team knowledge, and contributing value to the mission.
The Integrated Master Scheduler is B&A’s point of accountability for the timely delivery of multiple projects and identification and mitigation of scheduling risks.
5 - 8 years’ experience working with Microsoft Project and/or Microsoft Project Server in a systems/software engineering related industry
Experience establishing Work Breakdown Structures and baseline schedules with task networking, resource loading and leveling, schedule status, performance tracking, and critical path reporting and analysis.
Experience maintaining several schedules at any given time for various projects in various stages.
Solid understanding of Project Management methodologies and PMI industry best practices
Ability to compile, update, and deliver the Integrated Master Schedule with integrated milestones and linked dependencies.
Act as Subject Matter Expert in scheduling and be able to propose process improvements that will benefit integrating schedules
Strong communication skills to reach and develop a cross organization network to help to gather requested data for each schedule product
Ability to assess impacts of new info against planned and baseline dates, calculate critical path, calculate slack & margin, and identify risks/issues/opportunities.
Ability to format Microsoft Project documentation in presentable form to include call out boxes, graphics etc. in support of product delivery milestones.
Ability to assist Project Managers in creating short-term schedules, monitor such schedules to determine impact on master schedule, and help in formulate actions to correct scheduling problems.
Develop new process metrics for process improvement that help determine how well the overall process is working
Incorporate Resource and/or Cost Loading data into schedules as required.
Experience consulting appropriate project team members and estimating procedures as a means of ensuring that proper planning is completed prior to the commencement of work.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Extensive experience with Microsoft Project and a Microsoft Project Certification
Strong analytical skills and ability to develop and recommend solutions for problems/issues
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Good customer teaming skills; ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams
Strong interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills
Responsible and reliable; follow up on actions and the ability to multi task
Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in relevant software development and project management experience
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP); ability to apply principles of project management developing large, complex schedules
3+ years of experience with ERP systems and/or restaurant management and POS systems
Experience managing projects in the Commercial sector
Understands and has facility with enterprise-level scheduling software
Occasional travel to Toronto, Canada will be required.
