As part of the Global Technical Learning organization, you will work across not only Worldwide Learning, but with engineering and business teams across Microsoft, and with customer/partner groups to refine and grow our training business to ensure that Microsoft has a rich ecosystem of skilled employees, partners, and customers to aid digital transformations.
Microsoft Certified Trainers (MCTs) are the premier technical and instructional experts in Microsoft products; imparting technical skills, and helping professionals gain the skills they need. As our product management lead for the Microsoft Certified Trainer program, you will think big about opportunities to re-imagine the future of training and our professional network of certified instructors to support Microsoft Certifications worldwide. In this position you will have worldwide responsibilities for the MCT program to drive significant program enhancements through ongoing deep engagement and coordination with other Microsoft WWL teams, product groups, CELA, and support teams. You will be responsible for the expansion of the MCT program and community to accelerate the adoption of our training and certification products, and for defining the MCT program key success metrics, measuring impact, and tracking business results of a robust framework to skill our customer, partners and employees. MCT Program ownership includes product strategy, program requirements, benefits, recruitment, and the engagement required to sustain and grow a quality training channel to support individuals, organizations, and partners utilizing Microsoft technologies.
Strong cross-group collaboration will be critical to your success. You will inform and influence the WWL business, product, GTM, and program directions through direct input and activities. You will also be responsible for day to day management of program quality assurance metrics and enforcement of program rules.
The ideal candidate will be able to work both at a strategic level to define the program strategy, as well as the program execution skills required to manage a global program, including the operational implementation of the benefits being provided as part of the program while scaling it globally.
Own the overall strategic vision and plan for the Microsoft Certified Trainer program.
Develop the program strategy to ensure Microsoft meets our business goals, with a high priority on increasing the number of individuals and organizations that are trained and skilled on Microsoft’s cloud technologies.
Define all-up business model for the MCT program, and the product value prop/messaging across audiences.
Drive global product requirements definition, product planning, and product design of new features and enhancements required to support the MCT program.
Define objectives and key results and analyze customer feedback and usage metrics to identify key pain points and opportunities to address.
Define and own engagement and communication strategy with MCT community.
Collaborate with Go-to-Market team to ensure marketing, branding and positioning messaging supports the program’s value.
Identify, build and sustain strategic internal and industry relationships and partnerships to drive program awareness and engagement.
Ensure appropriate capacity in market in conjunction with Learning partner program.
Define and develop the value propositions, requirements, competency requirements and benefits for the MCT programs.
Evaluate and keep the pulse of MCT satisfaction via annual surveys, regional feedback mechanisms and direct community engagement.
Develop, manage and maintain program scorecard and metrics.
Define, drive execution and budget management of program budget to drive strategic alignment and business results.
Effectively manage day to day program clarification and escalations and drive for appropriate resolution.
Drive program materials updates, changes, and distribution.
Own and drive requirements for program tools, systems, support and infrastructure.
Ensure MCT have the tools and resources necessary for their jobs.
Drive program renewals and benefit utilization.
7+ years' in product or program management, with demonstrated business impact delivered by strong product or program management skills.
3+ years' experience in writing business or technical requirements for new capabilities and features.
2+ years' experience developing product vision and strategy based on data and business objectives.
5+ years’ experience in audience marketing or channel program management.
Ability to drive the development of strategic marketing teams and plans across multiple customer segments.
Development of global, scalable, effective marketing plans.
Knowledge of training and certification industry and products and channel partner business models.
Deep understanding of training content including different modalities, ecosystem and market trends.
Experience working with technical teams to enable deployment of products or capabilities in an agile environment.
Excellence at developing and articulating vision and strategy that meet business goals.
Ability to handle challenging situations and difficult conversations with poise.
Ability to drive cross-group collaborative efforts on multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong collaborator with demonstrated track record of building alignment between product and subject matter experts across a large company.

Successful candidate will possess the maturity and experience needed to manage complex programs and projects, and solving problems with minimal coaching.
Bachelor's Degree or Master’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience.
Ability to interact with and understand technical subjects and emerging technologies and their relevance to the marketplace.
