East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a full-time Communications Associate at our 19 Broadway location in Newport, RI., With the option to work from home.
This candidate will serve as a core member of the Communication/Development Team. Communication Associates are tasked with providing comprehensive communication, education, and engagement services to assigned departments and divisions within EBCAP. As such, they work closely with line managers to understand communication, education, and social media needs and design programs accordingly. If needed for specific departments, they may also be involved with all aspects of planning and organizing divisional and organizational fundraisers.
- Partners with leaders to educate the community about agency services, public health issues, educational programs, and social service offerings. Will create engagement strategies for such initiatives.
- The Associate may prepare recruitment and engagement strategies for such actions as Head Start recruitment, Health Equity Zone engagement programs, agency staff recruitment, patient education initiatives, etc.
- Maintain a thorough and accurate database of event contributors and potential event contributors.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree in a Communications and/or Marketing related field and two to three years of demonstrated social media and communications experience required.
