Boerne Epicure Gourmet Market is a well-established market and deli located on Main Street in downtown Boerne. We are currently seeking a full-time Deli Associate to join our team. Candidates should be able to foster a positive work environment, take initiative in a fast paced setting and have an energetic personality. EOE
Responsibilities
- Execute basic food preparation and Mise en place
- Expedite orders and operate grill station
- Support consistent food quality and presentation
- Maintain proper sanitation and food safety standards
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Follow all company policies and procedures as well as local, state and federal employment laws
Requirements
- At least 1 year of kitchen experience preferred
- Current Texas Food Handler or Food Manager certification
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment including food slicer, food scale and panini grill
- Ability to multi-task and stand for long periods of time
- Proficient in basic knife skills
- Committed to reliable attendance
- Capacity to take directions and work with others
- Ability to safely lift 25 lbs. while maneuvering throughout the work area and stockroom
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Available to work a variety of hours including holidays and weekends
