Turner Studios is full of creative, passionate craftspeople who help Turner’s brands make moments that fans never forget. The role of the Culture & Experience team is to create and protect the conditions that sustain our great people’s best work. A lot goes into that, and no two days are alike.
The Culture & Experience Apprentice role is a unique opportunity to impact a creative culture in big ways early in your career. We want someone who doesn’t just do what’s asked, but truly stewards our culture by constantly generating ideas and suggesting improvements.
The expectations for this role are high, but mostly we’re looking for someone who cares a lot about what makes a job worth getting up and going to day after day.
What will you be doing?
Employee Experience (30%)
Help program a regular schedule of events to support employees’ wellness, learning, and happiness
Devise and manage a system for recognizing employees’ milestones and accomplishments
Activate “play zone(s)” for creativity-enhancing opportunities throughout our space
Brainstorm and execute other moments to surprise, delight, and show appreciation for employees
Get to know and regularly solicit feedback from employees in order to serve as a point of contact for their needs and ideas
Write a variety of employee communications
Help with asset-gathering and development of presentation decks as needed
Maintain up-to-date body of knowledge about breadth of Turner Studios’ capabilities and latest work
Facilitate tours of Turner Studios to showcase unique creative environment for current and prospective partners and talent
Create graphics (via digital signage throughout building) to communicate news, share great work, and provide inspiration
Administrative / Operations (30%)
Manage inventory of office supplies
Order and stock snacks for break rooms
Other administrative tasks as needed
Execute and constantly refine a standardized onboarding process for new hires across all of Turner Studios
Manage pre-arrival logistics (technology, access, communications, week 1 schedule, etc.) on behalf of hiring managers
Create new hire welcome kits and maintain stock of swag items and supplies
What do we need from you?
Track record of creating successful experiences. (People look to you when the vibe needs to be just right, and you geek out over making it that way.)
Excellent communicator, both in writing and in person. (You get “you’re so good with words” a lot.)
Superior design sensibilities. (You’re fanatical about fonts and live for killer layouts. You care about the aesthetic of every Word doc, PowerPoint presentation, and web graphic alike.)
Problem-solving mindset. (You don’t bring anyone problems; just solutions. You always think through “What would I do if I were in charge?” and have a course of action in mind before taking the challenge back to the team.)
Project management skills. (You enjoy being creative, but never at the expense of delivering on time and above expectations. To you, a Gantt chart is a work of art all its own. You’re solid at prioritizing.)
Extraordinary passion for seeing great ideas all the way to completion, all in the name of making a difference. (Our mission is clear, but our road isn’t. If you’re looking to show up and be told what to do every day, this is not the job for you.)
Track record of adapting to ambiguity and thriving in a fast-moving environment. (When the going gets tough, you go with the flow, and you have a great sense of humor all the while.)
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop and Illustrator). Ability to create basic animated graphics a huge plus.
Photography and DSLR video shooting and/or editing a plus
Portfolio (if applicable)
