Responsibilities:
Analyze drawings and specifications, to determine optimal tooling and machining processes.
Program both lathes and mills effectively
Be familiar with 2 axis lathes vertical and horizontal, horizontal machining centers both full 4th and positioning table, be familiar with horizontal boring mills (contouring head a plus).
Understand machine set up and fixturing
Be conscious of required time and total cost of part
Create programs to produce quality parts making efficient use of tooling.
Work with management and production team to implement company’s policies and business objectives.
Calculate optimum spindle speed and feed rates for specific function and specific materials.
Select proper cutting tools maximum efficiency and safety.
Perform manufacturability reviews for new jobs and provides feedback to management team to aid in preparation of standard times.
Collaborate with engineers and designers to provide optimal parts.
Troubleshoot and resolve program or tooling issues to ensure smooth production flow.
Maintain accurate documentation of CNC programs, tooling, fixturing, and machining set-ups.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
Be a self-starter.
Be familiar with common measuring and gauging techniques and equipment
Proven track record of programing mills and lathes using industry standard software.
Ability to read and interpret prints, specs engineering and manufacturing drawings.
Solid understanding of mathematics, including geometry and trigonometry.
Strong knowledge of cutting tools and tooling.
Strong knowledge of G and M codes in Fanuc controls.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing environment, using industry standard software to create programs for CNC lathes and mills.
Strong experience of auto CAD or similar drawing or modeling software.
Previous experience running CNC lathes and mills with Fanuc controls
Familiarity with various machines

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
