Job Description

I. JOB SUMMARY:
The Chemical Dependency Assessor Supervisor - LADC reports to the Director of Operations and embodies the Park Avenue Center values. The Supervisor leads, manages and holds accountable the chemical health assessor team, completes chemical health assessments, and maintains department compliance and performance.

II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conducts chemical health assessments regularly for Rule 25 and Hennepin County Family Court Services.
Provides guidance and serves as a resource for questions or concerns regarding assessments.
Monitors and maintains department performance, productivity and compliance.
Achieves department and company vision and objectives through practice of Traction, including weekly meetings, quarterly goals, and accountability to the Operations Process.
Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; coordinating work schedules; managing performance and developing personal growth opportunities
Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
Maintains positive, professional and ethical demeanor with clients and within the community remembering that you are the "face" of Park Avenue Center
Signs and adheres to all requirements outlined in Hennepin County's Memorandum of Agreement
Maintains all needed correspondence with the Hennepin County review team, treatment facilities, child protection workers, probation officers, collateral contacts, and managed care organizations as applicable
Continues to upgrade skills and obtain required annual CEU's
Provides services on a limited basis to client's families and/or significant others as needed
Attends minimum required Hennepin County monthly assessor meetings
Performs other duties as assigned
III. WORK ENVIRONMENT

Local travel may be required daily
Carrying a laptop and other supplies with a weight of up to 15 lbs.
The office environment includes a typical office environment with limited exposure to dust
Other environments may include small spaces, windowless rooms, jails, hospitals, and clinics including locked units
Performing work on a computer is required up to 8 hours per day Qualifications

Must have a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor license under MN Statutes, Chapter 245G.11 or meet 245G licensing requirements for qualified staff by other means.
Must have a minimum of three years' experience in providing drug and alcohol counseling as required by the MN Statues, Chapter 245G and MN Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy.
Must have received a minimum of 12 hours training in clinical and ethical supervision as required by MN Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy.
Counselors exempt under MN Statutes, Chapter 245G must be competent as evidenced in the examples provided in the statute.
Maintain compliance with the rule adopted under MN Statutes, Chapter 245G
Must possess good verbal and written communication skills and be capable of presenting a positive, professional image
Most possess strong leadership competencies, previous supervision experience preferred
At the time of hire, must be free of chemical use problems for at least two years immediately preceding hire and must sign a statement attesting to that fact
Must pass a DHS background check
Must be available to work during regular business hours of Park Avenue Center, as well as on a rotating schedule of Saturday morning’s.
Completion of Hennepin County Rule 25 Assessment training required prior to or immediately following hire

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position working Monday - Friday with a rotating Saturday morning requirement.
