We are currently looking for a talented Internal Staff Accountant to join our Corporate Team. This individual will report directly to the Controller and will be responsible for maintaining financial processes and procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of the Company’s reports and statements.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of general ledger entries, reconciling of accounts and timely closing of books.
- Assist the Controller prepare accurate and timely financial information.
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
- Maintain the general ledger.
- Cross-train on accounts payable processing, accounts receivable processing and other duties as needed.
- Assist with special projects.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Two - three years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of general financial accounting
- Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and QuickBooks
- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
- Well-organized and ability to prioritize
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
