Finance and Accounting Consultant

Position Summary:
As a finance and accounting consultant, you will assist the Army in improving and/or executing processes related to financial statement compilation and reporting, audit response and remediation in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS).

Contract Requirements:
Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance

Essential Functions and Responsibilities (will include some but not all of the following):

Assist with the implementation of current corrective action plans
Help develop corrective action plans based on auditor findings
Help generate and reconcile trial balances
Sustain and enhance business process documentation
Improve auditability of business processes related property, plant and equipment (PP&E)
Facilitate the Army’s response to external audit

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or Business Management or CPA or CISA or PMP or CGFM or CDFM
4 years of experience with federal financial management
2 years of federal accounting experience

Physical Demands and Expectations:
Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, and standing; frequent periods of prolonged sitting may be required.
Ability to speak, read, hear, and write, with or without assistance.
