Sales lead - Parts, Attachments & Services
Service & Solutions (S&S)
The Sales Manager – Parts, Attachments & Services is responsible for leading the parts, attachments and services sales team for aftermarket revenue growth in North America. The position also directly manages an assigned territory and strategically assigned accounts, and increases marketshare by providing solutions to dealers, national & key accounts, and end-users to help lower the total cost of ownership (TCO) while improving reliability. For the Gehl, Manitou, and Mustang dealer network, help improve sales of branded products & services to allow for greater machine marketshare, increased customer service, and greater dealership profitability. This position is based in West Bend, WI and requires extensive amounts of over-night travel.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and lead the Parts, Attachments, and Services sales team direct reports to effectively promote:
XPRT™ (Gehl & Mustang) and Manitou brand spare parts offerings.
EDGE™ (Gehl & Mustang) and Manitou brand attachment offerings.
XPRT™ Protection Plan (Gehl & Mustang) and Maniplus™ (Manitou) brand extended service coverage contract offering.
EASY Manager™ and Connected Machine telematics solutions.
TCO concept & calculation tool.
Lead the engagement of, and indirectly manage, the aftermarket sales efforts of field resources (ASMs/RSMs).
Oversee sales of XPRT™ and EDGE™ products to International Subsidiaries & Direct Dealers.
Create KPIs and metrics to effectively measure sales results to budget and sales rep. performance.
Monitor results for the list of strategic dealers (highlights/lowlights) and create strategies to improve categories of decline while protecting categories of growth.
Lead projects involving aftermarket sales processes or systems and be involved in other cross-functional projects.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Support the mission of Manitou North America and Manitou Global.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Sales Development & Promotion:
Lead the creation of effective sales promotions in coordination with S&S Marketing and Parts Support management as well as communication to the dealer network & monitor results for success.
Define sales efforts by product or service for field and internal resources (PASSRs/RSMs/ASMs/etc.).
Provide tools & reporting for field resources (PASSRs/RSMs/ASMs), dealers and direct accounts.
Train field resources to sell aftermarket products and services.
Communicate policies, procedures and relevant information to the dealer network, field sales team, or internal company personnel.
Lead aftermarket sales team conference calls (weekly/monthly).
Monitor weekly sales team reports (highlights/lowlights) and respond accordingly.
Coordination & frequent communication with Manitou Global S&S teams for aligned processes, systems, policies, procedures.
Direct Sales Responsibilities:
Directly manage the Central Region sales territory and strategically assigned accounts.
Schedule dealer & end-user visits. Analyze the needs of dealers and end-customers and provide creative solutions to increase aftermarket share.
Engage with the dealer network to properly stock, promote, and sell the aftermarket products & services.
Train the dealer & direct accounts on use of parts communication tools (MyEdocs, ASSIST, Dealer Portal, Masters Program, other).
Present quotes & close sales in a thorough & professional manner.
Recommend new or expanded products or services to compliment aftermarket sales growth.
Promote the Gehl, Manitou, and Mustang dealer network to end-users. Communicate the value the network can provide in servicing the branded products.
Provide feedback to internal stakeholders to drive changes to the business to align with market expectations, i.e. competitive pricing data, attachment range expansion, new service offerings, etc.
Document & communicate issues that negatively impact customer satisfaction. Seek assistance from Technical or Parts Support teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Participate in weekly sales meetings, providing other PASSRs and Sales Reps. with an update on sales activities within the assigned territory. Share success stories and assit peers in growing sales.
Analyze the assigned territory, select target accounts, and work to define a sales forecast & goals for selected targets.
Complete weekly reporting for management of highlights/lowlights in the sales territory.
Manage data such as contact information, machine populations, opportunities, campaigns, selling activities, quotes delivered, etc.
Bachelor degree preferred or equivalent experience in related area required
Proven leadership skills with 2-3 years aftermarket sales team supervisory or management experience preferred, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
3-5 years related sales experience with proven growth results. Strong sales & customer service skills.
Strong analytical skills & technical knowledge and understanding of agricultural, construction, or material handling equipment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
Must be proficient in P.C. software, spreadsheet and ERP systems.
This position generally functions within an office setting and in the field. Ability to perform data entry, telephone operations as well as computer, fax and copier. Ability to communicate verbally with direct reports, intercompany employees, and dealers/customers.
LOCALIZATION AND TRAVEL EXPECTED:
This opportunity is located in our new and nice corporate office, walking distance from the charming historic downtown West Bend, WI, located just minutes from Milwaukee by the highway in the picturesque hills of the Kettle Moraine.
Travel within North America is required, estimated at 80%. International travel may be required.
