Based out of our Home Office in Greenwood Village, the Manager, Compensation is responsible for program design and implementation that supports the company's compensation philosophy. Evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of programs. Develops and maintains systems, processes, and policy that effectively administer compensation programs and comply with federal and state regulations. Manages the efficient and accurate administration of base pay and incentive programs. Oversees the job analysis and evaluation processes and advises management on position and Team Member compensation. Forecasts and reports compensation expenses. Oversees human resource information systems, reporting, and analytics. Develops and leads compensation and HRIS staff.

Responsibilities:
Compensation program design: Design and implement compensation programs that support the the company's compensation philosophy. Maintain a detailed understanding of the current and future competitive issues which can be affected and/or influenced by total compensation. Advise management in the strategic and tactical compensation “best practices” that support the objectives of the organization. Develop and maintain reporting to assist in the evaluation of program performance. Conduct analysis on program effectiveness and identify design enhancements necessary to support the objective of each program.
Compensation systems design: Ensure systems are efficient and effective in communicating and accurately administering each program. Develops base pay and incentive processes, procedures, and modeling for corporate and operations including pay structures, job analysis & evaluation, merit & pay policy, and calculating & reporting incentive plan payments and grants. Develop policies and procedures that ensure non-discriminatory pay practices and comply with federal and state regulations. Ensures processes and procedures are properly documented.
Compensation administration: Manages the administration of all compensation programs. Updates and maintains all plan documents. Ensures participants understand plans through effective communications and reporting. Develops timelines, collaborates with internal and external constituents, and oversees all processes to ensure the integrity and accuracy of each compensation program.
Job Analysis and Evaluation: Oversees the development and maintenance of job descriptions and works with department managers and supervisors in analyzing and classifying positions to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness. Consults management on organization design and compensation matters including new hire pay, promotion, merits and other pay adjustments. Oversees survey management processes including the timely submission of surveys, updating survey systems & databases, and accurate reporting of market information. Represent company in industry and local compensation groups.
Forecasting and Analysis: Forecasts and reports compensation costs including salary increases, wage inflation, and incentive compensation expense. Develops forecasting models and conducts sensitivity analysis.
Human Resource Information Systems: Oversees human resource information systems, reporting, and analytics. Maintains strong knowledge of Human Resource systems. Understands and oversees all HR and compensation information processing. Develops and maintains reporting to provide HR and Operations Management with human resource intelligence. Responds to requests for human resource data, adhoc reporting, and analytics.
Department administration: Oversees compensation and HRIS staff. Develops and trains staff. Assesses performance and provides timely feedback. Assists with the preparation of the annual budget related to compensation and HRIS.
Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Undergraduate degree in business administration, human resources management, accounting, economics or other related field, or significant compensation, benefits, and HRIS experience required.
Graduate degree in related field preferred.
World at Work CCP and CBP, SHRM SPHR certification preferred.
5+ years of technical and managerial experience in compensation plan design/administration
Experience in a fast paced growth environment desired, multi-state experience preferred
Prior restaurant/retail industry experience preferred
Demonstrated leadership and cross functional team facilitation skills
Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to work and communicate effectively in environments where all relevant facts may not be known or readily available.
