Florida Autism Center is hiring an Administrative Assistant in our New Port Richey, FL Center. As an Administrative Assistant you will perform a variety of general administrative support activities for the efficient operation of your assigned center. In this position you will work closely with other autism professionals and will deal directly with the family members of those in our care.
How will I make a difference in a child’s life?
Answering and directing phone calls
Organizing and scheduling meetings and appointments
Providing general support to visitors by answering questions and requests
Carrying out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc.
Handling sensitive information in a confidential manner
Replying to email, telephone or face to face inquiries
Receiving, sorting and distributing the mail
Maintaining the office and keep it looking presentable
Performing various other administrative tasks as required by the center
How do I know my experience is a good fit?
Have a high school degree or higher
Possess office or clerical experience (School Office experience a plus)
Exhibit experience with data entry
Display excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Exhibit solid verbal and written communication skills
Have the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion
Can successfully pass our background screening in protection of our children, our number one priority
Have the ability and desire to work full-time hours
Can work regular weekday hours (8:00am to 6:00pm)
