Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to help oversee the operations of our retail store. The Assistant Store Manager will be responsible for assisting in managing all aspects of the store, including sales, team management, customer service, and inventory control. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a proven track record in retail management.
Duties:
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Train and supervise store staff by providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and productivity.
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Handle cash handling procedures, including cash register reconciliation and deposits.
- Oversee inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and conducting regular inventory counts.
- Implement visual merchandising standards to enhance the store's appearance and maximize sales opportunities.
- Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process to build a strong team.
- Schedule and manage employee shifts to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and employee performance.
- Collaborate with others to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in retail management or a similar role.
- Strong sales management skills with a track record of achieving targets.
- Excellent cash handling abilities and knowledge of cash register operations.
- Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in using computer systems for inventory management, payroll, etc.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
