Your Role
Gensler’s New York office is seeking an HR Business Partner who will be involved with all aspects of Human Resources. This is an opportunity to be part of a strategic HR service model in a cutting-edge environment working closely with the HR team and office leadership.
What You Will Do
Work closely with HR leadership, studio leaders and office leadership on people matters related to talent development, performance management and employee relations
Advocate for team members, be a trusted and confidential advisor, and suggest best practices to enhance employee experience and lead industry
Counsel managers and leaders on human resources issues, providing insight and options compliant with legislation and consistent with Gensler philosophies, policies, and culture
Support full lifecycle of the employee from on-boarding, engagement, development, exit, and retirement
Investigate, document, and resolve employee relations issues
Oversee the initial evaluation process for assigned studios through Gensler’s Pathways to Success program
Analyze people data/metrics and create reports to help inform talent decisions
Partner with HR Director and leadership regarding compensation and reward programs
Facilitate global mobility of employees by managing the transfer process in New York
Conduct exit interviews, analyze data, and make recommendations to leadership for corrective action and continuous improvement
Educate employees about benefit programs and liaise with firmwide Benefits team
Involvement in staffing and other operational functions within the office as appropriate
Partner with Talent Development team in rolling out programs, including our annual PDP program
Partner with HR team colleagues to create and innovate HR practices
Understand all Gensler policies and ensure compliance within the office

Your Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related area required
10+ years of Human Resources experience, architecture or professional services firm experience preferred
PHR/SHRM-CP certification or equivalent preferred
Working knowledge of employment law and compliance regulations at federal, state and local levels
Proficient in the use of HRIS and MS Office Suite applications, particularly Excel
Experience running and analyzing reports
Comfortable working in a hands-on environment
Ability to produce timely deliverables and manage multiple and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) required
Ability to work independently, navigate, and maintain productivity in a matrix environment
Strong customer service orientation, a team player with the ability to establish collaborative working relationships
Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail
Ability to persuade and influence leadership on people matters
**The base salary range will be estimated between $100,000 - $130,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
