Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound scans on patients in various settings,
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images
- Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process to them
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during scans
- Analyze and interpret images to assist in diagnosis
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely results
- Maintain patient records and documentation
Requirements:
- Certification or registration as an Ultrasonographer
- Proficiency in performing ultrasound scans, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, and musculoskeletal exams
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to ultrasound imaging
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret images
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare team members
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
