GRI is seeking an entry-level geologist to join our team. Our project roster and clients are diverse. As a Staff Geologist at GRI, you will gain experience working on a variety of interesting assignments under the mentorship of senior and principal geologists and engineers.

General responsibilities include:
- Perform and manage field explorations and drilling subcontractors
- Perform lab testing including Atterbergs, Consols, Direct Shear, Proctor, Triaxial, etc.
- Soil and rock classifications and geologic site reports
- Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments
- Environmental soil, sediment, and groundwater sampling
- Understanding of environmental chemistry
- Construction observation
- Use gINT, CAD, GIS to collect and present data
- Data analysis and report preparation
Required Skills/Abilities
- Communicate clearly with project managers; ability to manage time and meet deadlines
- Work with a variety of other personnel in the office and in the field
General Requirements
- MS Geology/Earth Science or equivalent
- 0 – 5 years of experience
- Valid driver’s license
- GIT or RG Preferred (or ability to obtain)
Physical Requirements
- Use computers, tablets, and mobile devices
- Perform physical tasks on project sites that may include walking, climbing, crawling, or standing for long periods of time
- Perform work outdoors in all types of weather, including inclement conditions
- Lift up to forty pounds at times
- Travel to project sites in vehicles. Work assignments may include out of town travel.
