Job Description

The Accounts Receivable/Collections Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of billing, resolving customer billing issues and will be accountable for reducing the accounts receivable delinquency of assigned accounts. The SR Specialist must be able to effectively communicate in a professional manner with both internal and external customers. This position is part-time and located in the Headquarters office in Rockville, MD.

Essential Functions

Answer inbound calls timely
Independently analyze each assigned account and execute a plan for collection and reconciliation appropriately
Payment reconciliation
Accountable for all aspects of contacting clients, account reconciliation including billing research, credit request submission and cash application analysis
Interact frequently with inter-departmental associates for the purpose of resolving outstanding issues
Work closely with Management team to maximize collections and provide weekly reports
Interpret and understand contract terms to maximize collections
Perform related duties and special projects as assigned
Generate and send invoices
Meet weekly with Revenue Manager to provide account updates
Required Skills/Experience

Minimum of two years’ experience in Accounts Receivable/Collections
Must have high volume account experience with an average of 800-1000 accounts
Research and reconciliation skills and attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent negotiation and customer service skills
Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Must be able to work well with individuals at all levels inside and outside of the organization
Self-Starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
Flexible to work overtime as
Preferred Skills/Experience

Familiarity with Financial Force
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Experience in a fast-paced, environment
Ability to prioritize tasks that change frequently and manage unexpected demands
Dependable, follows instructions and takes initiative to solve problems
Experience with QuickBooks accounting software
