Minimum qualifications:
7 years of relevant experience including market analysis and partner and/or program management.

Experience as a founder, investor, startup employee, or in a role supporting startups.

Preferred qualifications:
Demonstrated entrepreneurship and bias for action, with a proven record of going from idea to impact.

Ability to take initiative and work with a sense of urgency.

Effective team player who can work across disciplines, work effectively with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple stakeholders.

Ability to take initiative and excellent project management and influencing skills, paired with resourcefulness.

Effective written and verbal communication skills and excellent networking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Passion for entrepreneurship.

As the Head of Google for Startups for the United States, you will lead GFS’ strategy and engagement with startups, work with the Partnerships team to support startup ecosystems, and lead startup programs including our efforts to support diverse founders. You will focus on bringing the best of Google to startups, especially in underserved areas, helping to revitalize these communities.
Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a robust outreach strategy for startups in underserved communities across the U.S., including partnerships, key events, and other startup initiatives.

Work closely with teams and stakeholders inside Google, from leadership to policy and product teams, to bring the best of Google to startups and ensure an aligned, "One Google" approach.

Be the face of Google for Startups at events, representing Google as a company spokesperson with startup credibility to partners, media, policymakers, and communities.

Help shape Google for Startups’ strategy globally with other GFS country leads and make the team successful.
