Smith Brothers Farms, a leading producer and deliverer of milk to homes, schools, and business in the Puget Sound area for more than 100 years, is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join their team in Kent, WA.

Minimum requirements:
- Ability to read, write and speak English.

Must be able to communicate effectively with management & colleagues.

Must have computer/data entry skills and basic skills in Microsoft office products.

Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision.

This is a safety sensitive position. We do preemployment drug tests, including THC.
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Biology or Food Science is preferred, but not required.

FSCPA certification is preferred, but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently lift up to 25 pounds.

Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to stand/sit for long periods of time.

Must be able to operate a computer.

Must be able to perform visual, olfactory and sensory tasks.
Essential duties/responsibilities:
- Filler Sanitation Verification of fillers.

Sample setup, testing, interpretation, and reporting.
- Document review.

Support the Sites Food Safety Systems.
- Provide GMP guidance.

Ensure Smith Brothers Farms produces safe, quality, and legal food.

Maintain constructive working relationships with all coworkers, manager, customers, and business partners.
- Clock in correctly using the timeclock system daily.
- Practice and support all Standard Operating Procedures, Safe Chemical Handling procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.

Safety is an essential function of every position. Wear appropriate safety gear always. Be aware of your surroundings. Report all near misses, on the job injuries and safety concerns.

Maintains current Good Manufacturing Practices and notifies supervisor of potential food safety issues.
