Minimum Position Requirements

Seeking a full or part-time Generalist Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D. preferred) in a well-respected, well-established practice in western suburban Naperville, Illinois. At Tompkins and Associates, we specialize in working with families from young childhood through adolescences and young adulthood. We value close collaboration with and support of parents and the whole family system. As such, the ideal candidate will be comfortable providing parenting therapy and engaging in family therapy, as needed. Additionally, Clinician will be expected to use evidenced-based therapies including CBT, DBT, and ACT interventions. Opportunities for psychological testing and group therapy available to interested candidates.

About the Practice

Tompkins and Associates is a moderate sized private practice office with four Clinical Psychologists each with over 10 years of professional experience. You will have access to large offices space, easy access to I-88, and electronic billing and note keeping. We provide a collegial and supportive environment with supervision and mentorship from clinical psychologists with niche specialties including 0-6-year-old play therapy, child and family therapy, adolescents and young adult therapy, support of chronic medical conditions, and women issues including post-partum and fertility issues.

Most referrals to the practice come from pediatric practices in Western Suburbs of Chicago and other professionals. We also have professional affiliations with Northwestern University, Illinois Math and Science Institute (IMSA), and several local school districts, which provide additional referrals and unique professional opportunities including assessment, consultation, and school-based therapy.

Compensation

We provide competitive compensation, flexible hours, time off for professional development, and professional networking opportunities. Evening and Saturdays hours are required. Expectations that clinician will gradually build to full-time hours, defined as 20+ hours of client contact per week. Our last clinician achieved full-time status in approximately four weeks.
