SCAD Savannah seeks a student success adviser to serve as a primary contact for undergraduate students as they successfully complete an educational program at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
In this role, you will provide guidance on all academic and financial policies and questions for undergraduate students and their families, including federal and state aid, alternative loans, and scholarship inquiries, among others. Through early and ongoing outreach, you will build a supportive relationship with students to assist in their course selection and registration, major selection, career planning, and academic goal setting. You will also instruct First Year Experience courses for all incoming first-year students.
The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment and, preferably, has a master’s degree in a relevant discipline. The candidate should have experience in advising, counseling, or financial aid in a higher education setting. The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and stellar organization skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
