Fetch-a-tech is currently seeking a Warehouse Assistant that is responsible, organized, and detail oriented. The primary duties of a Warehouse Assistant include the following: operating a forklift or picker machine, conducting precise physical inventory counts, maintaining damages and quality control, assist with receiving new inventory, overall cleanliness of the warehouse, as well as fleet management.
This is a full-time position, which offers benefits after 60 days of employment. Starting pay range is $16-$20 per hour, dependent upon experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Load and unload trucks, inspect products for defects and damages

Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.

Responsible for ensuring accurate shipping and receiving of packages including reconciling packing slips and invoices

Stage equipment for installs

Deliver parts and equipment to jobsites

Create and maintain purchase orders, ensure completed paperwork is submitted to accounts payable and entered into databases accurately

Partner with Accounting to resolve issues with purchase orders

Able to work with internal departments to resolve customer concerns

Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean staging area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

Clean and maintain warehouse and facilities, including bathrooms, breakroom and other areas as assigned

Other duties as assigned
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Ability to work professionally with internal and external customers and vendors
-
Ability to drive several types of company vehicles and satisfy the requirements of our insurance carrier

PC proficiency with an emphasis in Microsoft Office desired

Knowledge of HVAC parts and equipment desirable
-
Forklift certification desired

Available to work overtime and weekends as needed

Excel within a team environment and willing to support all areas of our business

Valid driver's license

Must be willing to undergo a background check, driving record check, drug screen, and physical
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
-
High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Minimum of 3 years prior warehouse experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
-
The principal duties of this position are performed in a variety of environments, including customer homes, the outdoors, and field environments at development and work sites on uneven and rough terrain.

Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms.

Occasionally required to ascend/descend ladders and balance.
-
Required to work in outside weather conditions, including heat, cold, and temperature swings, for extended periods of time.

Requires concentration and attention to detail; requires a high level of organizational and prioritization skills.

Standing up to 8 hours per day; Walking up to 8 hours per day on uneven, difficult terrain.

Occasional heavy manual labor to include lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.

Regular and repetitive grasping, gripping, reaching, bending, stooping, crouching, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and working overhead.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to others and to convey detailed spoken instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly.

The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery alarms, or alarms).

May work in closed or cramped space on occasion
