The Loudoun County Department of Community Corrections is currently seeking qualified applicants for a Full-Time Administrative Assistant. This position will provide general support to office staff; provide receptionist duties including answering telephones and directing office traffic appropriately; assisting staff by scanning file for electronic file storage; processing court documents. Position will also assist the Administrative Manager with office supply inventory and purchasing needs as well as handle some HR related functions. Assists Victim Impact Panel with duties related to Victim Impact Panel program and will perform other duties as assigned.
Position requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a High School Diploma and two years of directly related work experience in the criminal justice field or a related field. Proficiency with general office software programs, particularly Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel are required. Experience with accounting and financial programs preferred. Ability to speak Spanish is desirable.
Position requires interaction with criminal defendants, some who have a history of violent behavior. This position will be required to work occasional evenings. The candidate must be able to work as part of a team within the Community Corrections Department. Valid Driver's License.
