Head of Margin Lending - Executive Director

The Wealth Products and Experiences team within US Wealth Management, develops industry-leading solutions that enable wealth management clients to live their lives with financial confidence through connected experiences. The team is charged with leading the development of best-in-class products and experiences for Aspiring Affluent, Established, and High Net Worth client segments, including Lending, Donor Advised Funds, and College savings. Our strategy is to create solutions that deepen client engagement, increase scale and profitability, attract new clients and drive productivity.
The Wealth Products and Experiences team is seeking a Head of Margin Lending. We are looking for a transformational leader with deep industry experience, who understands customer needs and behavior, the competitive landscape, the regulatory landscape, and effective risk management related to margin lending. The Head of Margin Lending will be responsible for driving the firm’s strategy to grow the margin lending business to meet client needs, deliver a superior client and advisor experience, and effectively manage the firm’s liquidity.
The ideal candidate has experience leading and influencing teams to deliver industry-leading margin products and experiences, and will report to the Head of Wealth Products and Experiences. Through partnership across the business, the candidate will develop and execute a roadmap to drive business objectives forward while positioning J.P. Morgan to be a leader in this rapidly changing competitive landscape. They will lead cross-functional teams of core engineering, design and business partners from across the firm to deliver robust feature sets to market.

Candidates should have a management style that fosters teamwork and collaboration and a demonstrated passion for margin solutions and digital channels. Lead the development of margin lending solutions and client/advisor journey, partnering with leaders across the firm to bring together our full capabilities to deliver the best-in-market consumer experience
Continuously focus on core client needs, and the end-to-end client experience. Work closely with partners to integrate margin solutions into relevant wealth management offerings (e.g. goals-based planning solutions).
Embody true “customer-obsession” in identifying and leveraging user data, industry trends and varying forms of customer feedback to inform product design and roadmap.
Work in partnership with the advisor workforce and field leadership to create winning strategies and solutions that will empower them to help clients achieve their goals.
Integrate robust risk management throughout the process via consistent product reviews , reporting, and platform enhancements that allow JPMS to remain current in a constantly evolving regulatory environment
Prioritize, champion, and deliver initiatives related to new features, efficiency improvements, experience enhancements, risk management and compliance, etc.
Partner across J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and J.P. Morgan Chase Bank, N.A., including digital teams, technology, marketing, middle office, legal, finance, credit risk, and operations
Educate Financial Advisors, Bankers, Investors, and Lending Advisors
Demonstrate ability to manage, influence, and motivate upward and downward across function
Bachelor’s degree and MBA
10+ years of experience in the Financial Services industry; history of margin lending and/or product management
Demonstrated experience in developing and launching best-in-class margin products and services in a large financial services firm
Deep familiarity with regulatory requirement and fiduciary responsibilities
Proven ability to execute via successful internal partnerships with other groups including Design and Technology
Excellent leadership skills – of programs, projects, teams and employees – with demonstrated track record for attracting and retaining top talent
Exceptional communication and presentation skills and ability to crisply articulate complex technical concepts to senior audiences with poise and confidence
Must be a team player who is effectively collaborative internally while fiercely competitive externally
Genuinely energized by new, innovative digital technology and its impact on customers
Licensing may be required (eg. Series 7, 66) – current licenses are preferred but this requirement can be fulfilled post-onboarding
