VHB is #10 in Zweig Group’s Top 100 Hot firms! Our growing team is looking for a Traffic Operations engineer to join our Transportation group. This member will represent VHB and provide full-time in house support for a local public agency client.

Working within a team of professionals in developing traffic and transportation planning and engineering solutions for a multitude of transportation projects
Traffic impact studies
Safety Analyses
Signal, Signing and Pavement Marking and Lighting design
Transportation planning analyses
Signal Retiming
Research and interpret transportation data, community statistics, and demographics
Prepare written planning documents, summarize information collected by others, and assemble reports
Traffic data collection and tabulation
Intersection and roadway level of service analyses
Development, analysis, and evaluation of traffic improvements
Design of traffic control devices
Roadway, work zone traffic, and intersection design
Provide grant support
Skills and Abilities

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Attention to detail
Ability to think critically
Strong computer skills
Excel in working in a team environment


Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s Degree in Transportation Engineering a plus)
2+ years of civil / transportation engineering/planning experience
Experience with VISSIM, Aimsun, Synchro or HCS a plus
