Staff Develoment Coordinator
Oak Hill Center is actively seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to work as a Staff Development Coordinator at our Skilled Nursing Facility in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Experience in Long Term Care is preferred but not required.

Nurse Education Duties:
Responsible for overseeing the educational needs of the staff (staff development and improvement processes) to meet RISDOH & other regulatory mandates
Monitor and oversee employee health and orientation processes for our healthcare facility
Educate, coach and verify staff performance to ensure best practice, compliance and top customer service
Have familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, etc
Record and document educational activity, attendance and responses
Report on active projects, reactions and progress of nursing staff
Assist Director of Quality and or Director of Nursing in planning, coordinating and implementing staff programs and services to ensure a well-educated staff.
Maintain appropriate records and assist in data collection for assessment and evaluation purposes
Consult with and keeps Director of Quality and or Director of Nursing informed as appropriate or required
Maintain good departmental relationships, interacting effectively with all internal and external customers
Maintain close contact with employees off work, on disability or workman’s compensation, and their physicians to facilitate their earliest possible return to work
Review incident reports, OSHA reports, involving employees injured at work & coordinates education, loss prevention program with our safety program
Provide annual tuberculosis screening of volunteers; directs follow-up procedure for positive Mantoux testing within scope of practice and under the direction of Director of Nursing
Administers Hep B vaccines & Mantoux (TB skin tests) to various contracted agencies and individuals per guidelines and under the direction of Director of Quality or Director of Nursing
Current Rhode Island State RN License
Solid computer skills; working knowledge of MS Office
Excellent communication skills
Should be friendly and a team worker
