Agent Assistant & Retention Manager

Looking for a team-oriented Assistant that can multi-task in a fast-paced environment. This is not the typical Customer Service role, as we utilize a “Back Office” Service team for most servicing transactions, and we do not have walk-in clients. This is truly an Assistant position that will support the Agent/Owner with his workload of quoting new business as well as ensure our current policies remain in force and in the book of business.


  • Assist with incoming calls and client requests
  • Act as liaison with our back-office Service team to ensure client satisfaction
  • Manage “reshops” – the process of requoting existing client policies with our other carriers when requested
  • Review annual renewal premiums and proactively reshop if the premium increases substantially
  • Recommend other product offerings when speaking with existing clients
  • Assist Agent with incoming new prospects during the discovery and quoting stages
  • Complete household files once Agent sells new policy
  • Obtain trailing documents or other outstanding requirements on new business
  • Ensure home policies receive payment from Mortgage companies
  • Manage book of business and retention metrics

  • Salary range between $30,000 - $40,000
  • Expectation of 30-40 hours per week

Service or Assistant experience required. Insurance experience preferred but not required. P&C insurance license will need to be obtained. License assistance and Training will be provided.
