JPMorgan Chase's Receivable Operations division is comprised of four areas of operation: Wholesale Lockbox, Public Sector State Government Lockbox, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services Lockbox (USCIS), and Internal Revenue Services Lockbox (IRS). The firm’s Receivables Operations division enables customers to accept traditional paper-based payments from clients by capturing information with efficient technology services and transferring it to an output file for accounts receivable updating. The main objective is to speed collections of payments due by getting the check that's "in the mail" deposited into the biller's account as quickly as possible. A second objective is to speed the posting of payment information, allowing the customer to update their account records. This can substantially reduce costs and expedite the crediting of deposits to individuals accounts, which provides high customer satisfaction and a rewarding service. As an Operations Manager, specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Managing an operations team comprised of exempt and non-exempt personnel
Managing a production environment consisting of receipt of mail, manual extraction of documents, high speed extraction of documents, imaging of documents, data capture of documents, and mail-out of documents
Meeting internal and client-related deadlines
Interacting with senior management, clients, and internal partners such as Technology, Sales, Product, and Market
Meeting or exceeding budget targets
Exceeding site productivity, quality, and timeliness objectives
Attracting, developing, and retaining the best, most diverse talent
Enhancing employee engagement
Developing innovative solutions and cost-efficient processes
Driving culture of escalation and risk identification
Recognizing and rewarding individuals and/or teams for going ‘above and beyond’
Effectively driving verbal and/or written communication across all levels of the operation
5 years management/leadership experience in a business discipline or relevant work experience in a Remittance Processing/Operations environment preferred
Bachelor's degree in a business related discipline is preferred
Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, team-building, and interpersonal skills
Proven experience in development and management of staff
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent financial skills, ability to create and manage budgets
Objective/goal setting experience
Experience leading organizational and operational change initiatives
Ability to effectively resolve issues in a timely manner
Risk management experience
Functional experience with MS Office, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
