As a SSD Product Engineer at Micron Consumer Products Group (CPG) you will represent our organization as a SSD subject matter authority. You will be responsible for managing multiple technical aspects of our SSD product lines through the entire product lifecycle. This requires having a deep understanding of the storage industry, including controllers, SSD firmware, hardware, architecture, security, NAND media, and multiple storage interface protocols. You will utilize strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate internally with Operations, Manufacturing, Sales, Product Marketing, Quality, Engineering, and with external customers. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Primary technical responsibility for product development and sustaining support of SSD products
Working to ensure product roadmap meets ongoing customer demands and aligns with NAND and controller roadmaps
Technical interface with our suppliers and subcontractor teams, including NAND, controller, FW, and SMT/Test partners
Internal technical guide for customer concerns on client & enterprise products
Work with cross-functional departments to resolve SSD related issues
Support Marketing efforts on collateral, such as web content and white papers, as well as technical discussion with reviewers
Bachelor or Masters degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of storage industry experience
Relevant experience with computer hardware and mass storage systems
Understanding of storage integration into systems and platforms
Knowledge of storage interfaces such as SATA and NVMe
Demonstrated understanding and application of DRAM and NAND flash components
Good customer relationship management skills, demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate by utilizing strong customer service, problem-solving, and customer issue resolution skills
Capable of running multiple fast paced programs with aggressive product requirements and time to market expectations
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Strong interpersonal skills and maintain positive relationships
Ambitious, goal-oriented, and a dedicated colleague
Collaborate effectively in a dynamic team environment with multiple sites
