The Nestle Purina Maintenance Technician supports the Maintenance Work Group (MWG) through the execution of planned maintenance activities and the predictive maintenance program. In addition, our maintenance technicians provide technical leadership and support for the production and operations departments. As part of our collaborative culture, Nestle Purina challenges maintenance team members to work proactively with all departments including Production and Operations to train and transfer knowledge of basic maintenance activities such as cleaning, inspection, lubrication to the entire maintenance Work Group (MWG). Responsible for following all plant safety rules and work rules. Your primary responsibility in all of the work you perform is to be safe.
Execute Planned Maintenance including performing PMS to proactively prevent failures and promote safe and efficient operations
Create, revise, and improve parts kits working with salary planner/scheduler to build part kits into SAP.
Reduce unplanned stoppages through effective Root Cause Analysis
Provide on-shift troubleshooting support to identify and correct technical breakdowns
Cultivate (through active participation in the team) an environment that helps to build and strengthen the team concept and sets the culture of that Zero Safety Incidents, Zero Quality Defects, and Zero Preventable Stoppages is achievable
Build rapport with and provide technical leadership to the operations team (Autonomous Work Group) to transfer responsibility of basic maintenance activities (Cleaning-Inspection-Lubrication).
Utilize our AMM (SAP) to properly log maintenance related information including work time, parts issuing, development of BOMS, failure logs, and work order notes.

High School diploma/GED and 1+ year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military or related environment
Two year technical degree completed
1+ year seaming experience
