Development of safe and sustainable processes that support the project
Key gatekeeper in the Bostik gate and Stage gate process for the project
Monitoring, validating and continuously improving production of adhesives. Typically, assure process and product capabilities improvements (CPKs, PPKs); identify CTQs (Critical to Quality) process parameters, measure and improve material yields%, measure and improve equipment throughput, measure and reduce process cycle time
Responsible for internal/external benchmarking and sharing of best practice
Follow all validation of Management of Change process.
Determine and help execute critical parameters relative to the project
Provide trouble-shooting support for production issues relative to the project
Maintain Quality Standard Procedures and Work Instructions relative to the project
Act as a change agent to Quality
Responsible to develop and execute large scope project to eliminate process waste in the facility
Initial focus of this role is to make Greenville a Zero Waste Facility relative to our process waste
Responsible to document methods and technologies used in order to duplicate globally in the future
Future large scope project management (The project initially refers to Zero Waste and then future projects)
Context and Environment:
Heavy use of computer software, both PC based and enterprise system, combined with frequent interpersonal communication.
Expectation is that a good portion or your time will be spent on the floor
Drive a culture of continuous improvement through implementing appropriate metrics, appropriate methodologies, identification of root cause; working definition
Yield loss of processes will be primary accountability during execution of initial project
Use of Bostik project tools is a requirement
B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with chemical industry experience, advanced degree a plus.
1-4 years of experience in a manufacturing process environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in project management and execution
Demonstrated experience with a highly developed Environmental, Health and Safety Program.
Previous working knowledge in Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control, Six Sigma and Lean.
Must demonstrate sound judgment, be well organized, take initiative, and be flexible to facilitate resolution of complex issues.
Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication.
Proven analytical/problem-solving skills based on data.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities is required. Must be able to drive results and work effectively in a team setting
Ability to travel if necessary (<10% of time)
