In this hybrid and multi-faceted role, the UX/UI Designer will work directly with the Director of Marketing and the team to understand business strategy, objectives, priorities, and customer insights to enhance existing user-experiences on the website. This would involve leading the design efforts on new user-experiences and user-personas to meet multiple business objectives. This role will leverage analytics, primary and secondary user research, competitive bench marking, survey feedback, functional leadership guidance and translate needs into wire-frames, prototypes, functionality/user flows and actively work with the team to build, create, and launch said projects in an agile environment. This role will also focus on continual web design and UI initiatives to support content strategies and partnering with SEO, SEM and Web Admin Specialists to bring it all together. Additionally, this individual would be responsible for driving and managing the implementation of these initiatives on the website. The individual is versatile, adaptable, driven and willing to grow in this role to deliver a best in class digital experience for our customers, stores and stakeholders.
Strategy & Content Building
Working with collaboratively with Director of Marketing, Director of Application Delivery, Web Administrators, Visual Designers and Developers to understand business strategy and provide feedback/insight to enhance said strategy
Wire-framing, User Flows, User Interface, User Experience, and Front-End Development
Lead efforts on wire-framing, user flows, user-experience, prototyping, and user interface design for all current and future website initiatives
New Sites/Digital Experiences
Lead the user experience and interface design on new website initiatives, ensuring they connect back to existing user experiences and interfaces while meeting brand experience standards and delivering against KPI’s
Collaborate with Graphic Designers to help with UI/Visual Imagery workload as needed, create content as needed
A/B Testing Management
Develop roadmap in partnership with Director of Marketing, Pro Marketing Manager, Agencies, and Web Team
At least 2-4 years of relevant UX, UI, and/or Web Design work experience
Experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
A solid grasp of user-centered design and testing methodologies, subsystems, and usability and accessibility concerns.
Ability to iterate your designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design.
Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model to regularly deliver design solutions for approval.
Be willing to help teammates, share knowledge and experience with them, and learn from them.
Be open and wanting to grow role and responsibility within in the team
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Understanding and ability to audit/address WCAG 2.0+ guidelines
Be able to communicate with a wide-array of functional areas including marketing leaders, creative, store leadership, IT, pro customers, customer service and Executive Leadership team
Basic experience in any UX Software such as InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer.js, Quartz Composer, and the like is preferred
Advanced Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop are necessary; Adobe xD also a plus)
Intermediate experience with any CMS platform, Sitecore/Adobe a plus
Basic to Advanced skills with WordPress are a plus
Basic/Intermediate experience with Google Analytics
Basic/Intermediate experience with A/B Testing Tools such as Optimizely are a plus.
Open-minded and interested in learning new technical tools as needed
Intermediate/Advanced in Microsoft Office Suite
