The Multimedia Graphic Designer is responsible for the design, maintenance, creation, and revisions of videos, website pages, literature, packaging, presentations, large format graphics, advertising and training tools, etc. This individual is the lead designer of digital touch points, including bhcinc.com, social networking applications, and other digital experiences (SharePoint, FlippingBook, Mailchimp). This individual needs multi-channel copy experience including web, social, print and video scripting to be successful.
The role manages assigned design projects ensuring brand consistency of design and message. The individual in this role participates in strategic planning for graphic design strategy, focusing on digital design trends and mediums. This position also performs administrative duties including maintenance of departmental files and execution of ISO processes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Graphic Design - Digital
Primary role is to work independently to envision and design digital media ensuring consistency of design and message across all BHC brands.
Video Production – Manages video production process, works with Marketing manager to develop project definition, script and storyboard. Sets up shoots, shoots video footage, edits video footage, records voice over and input and outputs of digital material.
Website Maintenance and Design – Manages content, design and strategy of website in alignment with interactive design principles and BHC design guidelines.
Digital Presentations- Assists sales and marketing to prepare and customize presentations for use in multiple channels (print, electronic, etc.).
Photography – Uses digital camera, along with a variety of equipment such as tripods, and flash attachments to produce graphics for marketing material. Maintains archive of images and photos.
Digital Touch Points – Creates and maintains output of digital applications including but not limited to SharePoint, FlippingBook, Mailchimp, SurveyMonkey.
Digital Newsletters – may design digital newsletters.
Social Media - Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy and posting schedule for all social media channels. Manages Social Media sites (Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn).
Manages Timelines – Works with Marketing managers to determine scope of design projects. Completes graphic design work and manages timelines to meet deadlines.
Graphic Design - Print
Print Design- Maintenance of and revisions to marketing materials including sales collateral and product labels.
Large Format Print – creates graphics and layout for large print images.
Advertising – Creates designs, concepts and layout for digital and print ads.
Creates Internal/External Materials – Forms, spreadsheets, as needed.
Graphic Design Strategies – Maintains knowledge of design and technology.
Primary role is to participate in strategic direction for Marketing.
Trade Show Coordinator
As needed, will assist with tradeshow participation.
Trade Show Planning – Works with marketing team to develop, design and implement trade show strategy. Benchmarks competitor’s show attendance & strategies.
Event Logistics – Coordinates resources, exhibit booth, exhibit services, and materials from conception to delivery to site. On-site coordinator for booth set-up.
Tracking and Analysis – Monitors budget. Works with sales and marketing managers to distribute and monitor leads, track and analyze key performance indicators. trends within graphics industry to develop creative solutions. Researches and benchmarks competitors’ product packaging and literature design.
Communication Strategies – Maintains knowledge of communication trends and technology to identify communication strategies. Audits competitors’ communication methods.
Budget – Assists in monitoring overall Marketing Budget from the Marketing Plan. Makes recommendations for and monitors budget of video production.
Works closely with IT to optimize digital communications.
Coordinates marketing material distribution with Sales & Office Support (Mailroom)
Maintains digital departmental files.
ISO – Involvement in Company ISO Program includes QP 505 (Labels) QP 200 (Quality Plan).
Skills & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Telecommunications, Public Relations, Visual Communications or other related field
Minimum of two years’ experience in a marketing/graphic design role with emphasis on video production and a proven record of success
Experienced in graphic design, video production and hands-on project management
Experience with various communication media including print, video, multimedia, web
Proven ability to organize and manage multiple projects, work independently and as part of a team, work with minimal supervision, be creative, work under stress, and meet deadlines.
Possess a positive attitude and exhibit a commitment to excellence, customer satisfaction and continual growth and improvement
Demonstrated ability to manage details and above average proofreading skills
Possess superior analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Experience in creating videos and working with equipment and video editing programs
Skilled in the following software: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Acrobat, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere), Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Experience with printing, and graphic design processes
