Full Job Description
This individual will be a key member of the Consumer Products department whose role will consist of; revenue generation from and management of X licensees across multiple Apparel and Hardline categories, support of brand collaboration opportunities, focus on new business opportunities across all categories, special event planning for the department
Essential Job Functions
Licensing & Category Management
Management of a robust portfolio of complex and diverse licensees
Negotiate and execute licensing deals with current and new licensees to hit target revenue projection each year
Work with CP marketing and League marketing team to identify and execute licensing and brand collaborations
Manage a portfolio of licensing collaborations
Work in creative capacity to direct licensees on innovative product development, and graphic execution, ensuring the product is on brand hitting business objectives and maximizing licensees rights
Communicate with licensees and finance to ensure timely reporting, accurate financial projections, and payment
Oversight of budget forecasting
Continually evaluate licensee performance to ensure each partner is maximizing grant of rights
Research and evaluate licenses categories on a bi-annual basis, analyzing trends and opportunities, presenting findings to VP and cross-functional team
Collaborate with the retail team on marketing and promotions
Build relationships at key and emerging retailers
New Business
Work with strategy lead to identify white space and new revenue opportunities across all categories of consumer products business
Deep understanding of trend forecasting and how that translates to the licensed business
Communicate overall strategic direction of new business to maximize licensing matrix to Vice President and CP team
Build a new business pipeline and execute on short and long term goals
Special Event Planning
Support of all Consumer Products department events including; contracting and coordination of event staff, site surveys, venue contracts, and negotiations, travel, and registration, on-site supervision
Key CP point of contact to interface with many internal NFL departments including; Special Events, Marketing Entertainment, Marketing, Player Engagement
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
8-10 years in relevant industry including; consumer products, licensing, marketing, sales
Strong presentation and communication skills, written and verbal
Key relationships at retail and a strong understanding of the evolving retail landscape
Demonstrate the ability to think creatively and actively problem solve
Experience and leadership working cross-functionally
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Exceptional organizational skills
Ability to synthesize and clearly communicate critical issues and actionable opportunities
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with team and business partners to drive initiatives
Travel 25-30% of the time
